As my daughter pointed out on our little walk yesterday, it’s “actually still winter.” Hard to believe, given that I already pulled out a huge lawn bag full of new weeds around my house and that I had to do a couple of test runs of the A/C to keep my kids from complaining about the “heat” in their bedrooms (yes, they do have windows).

And I’m loving it! I took these pictures with my cell phone around the Rock Creek Forest neighborhood and Rock Creek Park a few days ago, and it seems that already the slight veil of green has gotten stronger.
