Well, here is one for you! I saw this a few days ago in a cute little bungalow that’s for sale in DC’s American University Park neighborhood.
These are two unattractive, sore spots we see in so many of our old houses: concrete floors in unfinished basements, often cracked, stained or buckled, and dirty attic stairs.

The seller here, according to her agent an artist, simply got creative with paint.

 The results are so simple and cool that your house doesn’t even need to go on the market to try them out! I just love that border on the “runner.”
